One Last Postcard ~ Friday, June 12
It is Friday morning and we are preparing to leave Kirkmont
and head north and east to Cedar Point.
Our time here has not only been productive but faith filled and fun.
Last night we went to the newly re-created worship space to celebrate worship
and Holy Communion.
We did want to be the first ones to do that.
We remembered all that God has done for us
while dedicating all that he had done during the week to the glory of God.
After our worship we stayed for the camp's worship
and basked in the glory of people's praise for the newly re-created space.
Camper Dave said that as they came off the trial from their night hike,
you could see the newly erected cross as you first came out of the woods
as the worship fire glowed upon it.
One thing - do not listen to the young people
when they try to tell you that I tried to burn the whole place down
as we burned the old pulpit.
It simply is not true!
Well - off to help clean up our space,
pack the van and head out.
Continue to pray for us as we play today.
We wil continue to lift up prays of thanksgiving
and blessings for all of you.
Hope to see you all in church on Sunday -
we will be the ones on the forest green Fairgreen shirts
with the first verse of Psalm 122 on the back.
"I was glad when they said, "let us go to the house of the Lord..."
Our feet have been in God's house all week.
Blessings,
Rev. Pat and the 2012 mission team
